Singer-Comedienne, Nancy Gaddy (website), brings musical comedy to the forefront with her hilarious renditions of familiar and original songs, lambasting topical events with humor and musical parodies. A theatrically trained graduate of Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University, she has toured with national companies of Broadway shows throughout the United States. Since coming to Atlanta, she has performed with The Deluxe Vaudeville Orchestra, The Hot Club of Atlanta, and even her own Klezmer Band, Mrs. Schmaltz and her Kosmopolitan Kleztet, singing Yiddish favorites as her character, Mrs. Schmaltz.
Nancy has performed stand-up comedy and has been a member of several sketch comedy troupes, delighting audiences in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and Pittsburgh. She has eaten at the Stage Deli in New York and Canter’s in West Hollywood, Pink’s in L.A. and The Varsity in Atlanta, on Mott Street in NYC and Grant Avenue in San Francisco. She is fluent in Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Mexican restaurants plus Jewish delis. There’s not a bread Nancy hasn’t had an affair with . . . and, as an alert to club owners and theatre managers, all her compensation is required to be in cash and/or halvah.
